As 2025 comes to its final stretch, the Student Spotlight is publishing its last edition of the year – we are now officially two Christmases strong! Throughout this year, the Student Spotlight has brought you stories like no other magazines have. As we dive deep into the Northern Territory youth community, we uncover social concerns and start big conversations about solutions that can improve the lives of many like us.

But without readers like you, we would not have been able to continue our work. So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for supporting our cause as readers of the Student Spotlight. By reading the Student Spotlight, you are showing that you care for other young people in the community and are supporting out young people by listening to them in times when they desperately need a voice.

In this edition, we brought together the inspiring stories of 10 young people in the Northern Territory and their vision for a better future. From athletes to advocates, these are young people who are making waves in their community and are inspiring others to follow their path.

Along with stories about the 10 inspiring young people, you will also learn about the young leaders who are calling for change. As the 2025 Youth Round Table comes to an end, members had to make their final presentation, highlighting an issue they are passionate about. Covering a wide range of social and economic issues across the Northern Territory, these are future leaders who carry big ideas that can shape the Northern Territory towards a more sustainable and habitable future.

We hope that after reading these stories, you too will feel empowered and more hopeful about the future of the Northern Territory, knowing that there are still people who are willing to fight for it.
