Issue 7

The Northern Territory Student Society is committed now more than ever to giving opportunities to young people across the NT to make their voices heard. The Student Spotlight is working on expanding across other schools and getting as many students involved as possible. We have exciting new ideas and partnerships planned for this year to continue to grow the organisation for this meaningful cause. We will continue to highlight stories about the underrepresented youth in our Territory who go unnoticed for their achievements and get criticised for their mistakes. We aim to combat negative media with our magazine that highlights all the talent young people have in Darwin.

As we start the new year, I am very excited to get straight back into releasing interesting and exciting stories written by young people for young people. The last year has been very amazing with all the support we’ve received from students, teachers and parents alike. Meeting new, talented young people who are interested in journalism, design and photography has filled me with a lot of excitement for the new year. There is so much talent in the NT and having the platform to be able to showcase these stories has been so rewarding.
